The Day Muniroh’s Bakery Was Officially Registered!
It feels like just yesterday that I started Muniroh’s Bakery. I remember when the craze in Malaysia was all about red velvet cakes and cupcakes. My first customers were friends and family members, and my business grew slowly from there.
After leaving Malaysia, I only baked part-time. Registering my business didn’t cross my mind because I was busy with my PhD and later working full-time. I was also afraid of taking the risk as we were not financially stable. My dismissal turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it pushed me to finally take the leap, even though we are still not financially stable.
It was a warm and sunny day when I headed to the Kamer van Koophandel (KvK) in Arnhem. The person handling my file was friendly; he asked several questions and informed me about the things I should be aware of regarding my business. I almost cried when he said, “Congratulations, your business is now officially registered.” He took pictures of me with the KvK banner, and I smiled brightly. I immediately shared the news with my family and close friends before announcing it on social media.
I have received so much support, both mentally and emotionally, during this challenging period. I am blessed that, even though I am away from my family, they support my dream. I am also grateful to have close friends here who are like family.
I’m looking forward to seeing how Muniroh’s Bakery will grow.
Wish me success!
Wow, this is amazing! Congratulations on your business and best of wishes!
