In 2012, I founded Muniroh’s Bakery in Malaysia as a means to support my family as a student. What began as a necessity soon transformed into a heartfelt hobby and passion. When we moved to the Netherlands for my PhD studies at Wageningen University and Research, I continued baking part-time, honing my skills and exploring new techniques. My ultimate dream? To become a full-time cake entrepreneur once we achieve financial stability.

Fast forward to 2024, I was unexpectedly dismissed from work. I initially considered finding a job related to my PhD background, but my husband and family encouraged and supported me to embrace my true passion—baking. And so, in June 2024, Muniroh’s Bakery emerged amidst emotional, financial, and mental challenges.

Rather than viewing these obstacles as setbacks, I see them as stepping stones and opportunities to embark on my new and exciting journey. The name “Muniroh” itself reflects my spirit—a “bright soul.” Despite adversity, I take small steps to grow my business, heal wounds, and pursue my dream positively.

From classic brownies bursting with flavor to meticulously crafted delicious custom cakes, each creation reflects Muniroh’s Bakery commitment to excellence to be enjoyed by all, children and adults alike.  As one of my PhD propositions: “Cakes resolve conflicts,” we believe sweet solutions can enlighten life’s challenges.
